H. Conner Thomas received a B.A. degree (1973) in economics from the University of Kentucky, and a J.D. degree (1977) from the University of Louisville, College of Law. Mr. Thomas has practiced law in Alaska since October of 1977, he is an inactive member of the Kentucky Bar. Mr. Thomas has a general practice with an emphasis on plaintiff's personal injury. Prior to entering private practice in 1986 Mr. Thomas worked with the Alaska Legal Services Corporation in Nome, Alaska (1978-1982), as a magistrate for the Alaska Court System (1982- 1983), and as the supervising attorney for the Alaska Public Defender Agency in Nome, Alaska (1983-1986). Mr. Thomas is an active member of the Nome Kennel Club (an organization active in the sport of dog mushing and sled dog racing). He served as President of the Nome Kennel Club from 1992-1999. He served on the board of directors of the Alaska Civil Liberties Union from 1994-1997. He presently serves on the State of Alaska Select Committee for Legislative Ethics.
